Our Story

Project Tutor was established to help people approach difficult questions with greater clarity.

The organisation opened its first office in Motorway City, Lahore, Pakistan, in November 2018. It began with seven employees, each working as a research specialist in a particular field. The early team brought together different areas of knowledge but shared one purpose: to make research more organised, understandable, and useful.

The early direction of Project Tutor was shaped with the involvement of an MBA graduate with a strong background in research projects, business research, and related research work. That experience helped establish a practical research mindset, one that looks beyond collecting information and focuses on understanding the purpose of a study, selecting relevant evidence, examining it carefully, and presenting it clearly.

From the beginning, Project Tutor was built around specialised knowledge rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Each new project introduced a different question, field, or research challenge. Over time, those experiences helped the organisation understand how students, independent researchers, businesses, and organisations use research in the real world.

Growth

As demand increased and projects became more diverse, Project Tutor expanded its team and professional reach. In March 2022, the organisation opened its second branch in Gulberg, Lahore, Pakistan. The new branch added six employees and marked an important stage in the growth of the company.

Today, Project Tutor has 13 in-office employees across its two Lahore offices. This internal team supports research work, planning, analysis, and project coordination.

Some research questions, however, require knowledge from several disciplines. Project Tutor therefore also collaborates with approximately 18 external research specialists, engineers, professionals, and subject-matter experts from different fields. These individuals are collaborators, not permanent employees. Their expertise is involved when a project requires a particular technical, professional, or subject-specific perspective.

This multidisciplinary model allows Project Tutor to bring the right combination of knowledge to each research question. A feasibility study may require business analysis and careful data gathering. A technical project may benefit from engineering expertise. An independent study may need support with methodology, analysis, or the interpretation of information. By connecting its internal researchers with suitable external specialists, Project Tutor can approach projects according to their actual requirements.

Achievements

Since its establishment, Project Tutor has supported or worked on more than 12,000 projects, and more than 1,600 companies and organisations through research-related services.

These figures represent more than scale. Behind every project is someone trying to understand a problem, evaluate an opportunity, organise evidence, or make a more informed decision.

Established

Companies and organisations

Feasibility studies, market research, business research, business analysis, strategic research and insights, data gathering and analysis, and research planning, so decision-makers can examine opportunities through structured information rather than assumption alone.

Independent researchers

Accurate and reliable data gathering, research methodology, research planning, analysis, guidance, and the organisation and interpretation of research information, especially where a study involves complex evidence or many sources.

Students

Academic research guidance that helps students understand research, organise ideas, use sources responsibly, and follow appropriate academic practices. The aim is not to replace the learning of a student, but to build confidence, structure, and awareness.

04

One organisation, different research needs

The people and organisations supported by Project Tutor may have very different objectives. A student may be developing a research proposal. An independent researcher may be interpreting data. A company may be studying a market or evaluating whether a new project is practical.

What connects them is the need for relevant evidence, clear planning, careful analysis, and information that can be understood and used.

A student

may be developing a research proposal and needs a clear structure to work from.

An independent researcher

may be interpreting data and needs a defensible method behind the reading of it.

A company

may be studying a market or evaluating whether a new project is practical.

Project Tutor brings these needs together under one research-focused organisation. Its internal team provides continuity and coordination, while its external collaborators contribute specialised knowledge when needed. This balance allows the organisation to work across different disciplines while remaining focused on the requirements of each project.

The story continues

What began in November 2018 as a seven-person specialist team in Motorway City has grown into an organisation with two Lahore offices, 13 in-office employees, and approximately 18 collaborating specialists, engineers, professionals, and subject-matter experts.

The scale has changed, but the original purpose remains: to help people move from complex questions to clearer research paths.

Today, Project Tutor supports academic research guidance, independent research, feasibility studies, market research, business analysis, data gathering, research planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Its story continues through every question explored, every body of evidence organised, and every research journey supported with greater clarity and purpose.
