What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated 3 September 2026
01The short version
We collect what we need to answer your message and deliver your project, we keep it only as long as we have a reason to, and we do not sell it to anyone.
02What we collect
Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number and email address. The content of your messages to us, including your brief and any files you attach. Project records such as quotes, deadlines and deliverables. Basic technical information created when you visit the site, such as your browser type and the pages you open.
03Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to quote for and carry out the work, to keep proper records of projects and payments, and to improve the site. We do not use your project files for anything other than your project.
04WhatsApp and other messaging
Most conversations start on WhatsApp. Messages you send there are also handled by the platform provider under its own privacy terms, which we do not control. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, ask us for an email address instead.
05Files and data you send us
Documents, datasets and drafts you send are stored securely and shared only with the researchers working on your project. If your data includes information about other people, please remove or anonymise anything that is not needed. Tell us if your data carries specific handling conditions, for example from an ethics committee, and we will follow them.
06Cookies and measurement
The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or cross-site trackers, and we do not sell audience data. We do measure how the site is used, with our own analytics rather than a third-party service. Each visit records the page opened, the site you arrived from, the type of device, the browser and the country, and how long the page stayed open. Visitors are counted using a code derived from your address, your browser and a secret we hold. That code changes every day and cannot be turned back into an address, so no profile is built and no IP address is stored. These records are kept for at most 400 days.
07Who else sees your information
Our researchers and specialists working on your project. Service providers who host the site and store our records, under contract and only to provide that service. Anyone we are legally required to disclose to. Nobody else.
08How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into projects are removed within twelve months. Project records are kept while the project runs and for a reasonable period afterwards for support, revisions and accounting. Project files can be deleted sooner at your request once the work is closed.
09Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we have no obligation to keep it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Send the request from the address or number we know you by and we will answer it.
10Security
Access to project material is limited to the people who need it. Administrative access to this site is protected by individual accounts and expiring sessions, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes. No system is perfect, so tell us immediately if you think something has gone wrong.
11Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of the page changes with it. Any question about privacy can go to the same WhatsApp number or email address you use for project work.
